In June 2025 the first version of the The Global Avian Checklist (AviList) was formally launched. All ATWB titles are being revised to conform to the taxonomy, English names and scientific names in AviList v2025. This exercise will take some time. The first ‘All the World’s Birds 2026’ titles were released in late 2025, with others to be made available during the first quarter of 2026.

For every ATWB eBook title that is in its second or subsequent annual edition, you can view how the changes introduced by the AviList have impacted on the contents of the eBook.

The first eleven 2026 PART-BY-PART Companion Guides have been published, as listed below. They cover all the world’s 4308 ‘known to be extant’ Non-Passerine bird species, plus the 1393 ‘known to be extant’ Suboscine Passerine species and the first 4367 ‘known to be extant’ Oscine Passerine species as they appear in v2025 of the AviList.
